    One to One Support Services provides Support Workers that are highly skilled, have excellent

 communication skills and in depth knowledge of supporting and working with older people. This service covers those that need sitting services

to dementia care and through to end of life care.

Our services are available in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Cheshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and South Yorkshire. England. We are

available for short or long term needs. Our head office is in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Home to the crooked spire. However, all meetings take place

at a time and place, such as your home, to suit you.

    Older people can often experience extreme isolation from their community and the outside world.

Communication can become frustrating and difficult too when sight and hearing

 is impaired.   Our services aim to relieve this and provide regular contact and support.

 Our services can be a means of accessing community services,  enabling participation

 in activities and helping to maintain independence. 

 We believe every individual should have the support they need. 

    Support Workers are trained to assist people with everyday life. Staff work with people on a One to One basis.

They are trained to support you in many situations and can escort you on journeys to locations such as:

*  Shops

*  Clubs and groups

*  Leisure and recreational activities.  - Bowling, church, outdoor pursuits, garden centres etc

*  Appointments -  Medical, Health, Hairdressers, etc.

*  Daily life activities - Support to make meals, laundry and many more home skills

*  Visiting friends

*  Going on day trips

*  Holidays

*  Companionship and sitting services

They can support you with:

*  Accessing information and keeping up to date with news

*  Travel and transportation -  Taking you where you need to go

*  Support with correspondence -  Letters and mail, reading them and responding

*  Communication assistance - This may be support with large print, clear speech or

 introducing a new system

*  Mobility and guiding - Staff are trained in guiding people when sight is impaired. Safety

 and your comfort always in mind.

 

       Staff are available to work in:

*  Private homes

*  Residential homes

*  Health care and social services establishments

    The majority of our staff have transport to escort you where you need to go.

         How do we work?

    The amount of hours a service delivers can vary, you can use them on an ad hoc basis, daily, or weekly to gain

support at a time and place of your choice. We work to suit your needs.

*  We arrange a free ,no obligation, visit to you to establish your service requirements.

*  We work with you to plan your service.

*  A worker is assigned to you, so you have consistency of staff that will get to know your preferences.

*  You book your service hours when you need them.

*  We invoice you monthly for your service.

    A Quality Service

    In order to provide the best service for you, staff are uniquely matched to each person based upon their

 qualifications and experiences.

Services are regularly reviewed with the person and their chosen key people in order for the person to make changes

and give feedback. Tailoring the service and gaining information from the person about their preferences, wishes and

needs enables staff to provide exactly the right support. This is important for the person and its important to us.

Peoples needs and situations change and our services are flexible to accommodate this.

 

Staff at One to One Support Services are professional and work from a strict Code of Practice. They act with respect,

discretion and confidentiality at all times. Promoting and supporting people to be as independent as possible.

 

All our staff are thoroughly vetted at interview stage and have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check with

all references gained prior to commencing work.

 One to One is fully CQC registered and have never had an recommendations for improvement. A comment by a CQC inspector was "I wish all care companies where like this".

One to One Support Service is one of a few providers of home care that are approved by Derbyshire Social Service and Sheffield Social Services. We also work closely with Derbyshire PCt.

 

 

When services are being delivered a manager is on call 24 hours a day.
