Signature Level 1 Award in British Sign Language (QCF) is designed to enable learners to communicate with Deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL). A range of topics are studied that involve simple, everyday language use. It provides an introduction to BSL and is suitable for all learners.

One to One Support Services is a care provider of Disability Services throughout the East Midlands and Yorkshire. CQC rated Good provider.One to One Support Services believes people with disabilities have the right to regular support to enable them to live independently. We offer assessments and support workers for people with, Sensory Impairments, Physical Disabilities, DeafBlind, Deaf and Blind.
One to One Support Services believes that people with disabilities have a right to regular support, to enable them to live independently, access information and have a life of their choice. Our service aids people to join the community, go to work, learn and access leisure activities where and when they choose. We provide an enabling service in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Yorkshire to people with disabilities on a one to one basis.
Our Support Workers provide a flexible service to help you with:
- Accessing information and keeping up to date with news
- Travel and transport
- Communication assistance, introducing, teaching and using different methods
- Support to get involved in community activities, shopping, visiting friends, groups and clubs
- Appointments e.g. health or personal
- Access to leisure and recreational activities
- Support with daily tasks both in and out of your home
- Mobility, transport or your personal moving and handling routines
Staff are available to work in:
- Private homes
- Educational settings
- Healthcare and Social Services establishments
- Residential Homes
- Places of employment
- Most recreational and leisure situations
How do we work?
The amount of hours support service can vary, the hours can be used on an ad hoc basis, daily, or weekly support at a time and place of your choice. We work to suit your needs. You may just want assistance during school holiday periods.
We work with you to plan your service, a worker is assigned to you, so you have the consistency of staff that will get to know your preferences. You book your service hours when you need them we invoice you monthly for the hours.

In order to provide the best service for you, staff are uniquely matched to each person based upon their qualifications and experiences.
Services are regularly reviewed with the person and their chosen key people in order for the person to make changes and give feedback. Tailoring the service and gaining information from the person about their preferences, wishes and needs enables staff to provide exactly the right support.
This is important for the person and it's important to us. Peoples needs and situations change and our services are flexible to accommodate this.
The staff at One to One Support Services are professional and work from a strict Code of Practice. they will act with respect, discretion, and confidentiality at all times. Promoting and supporting people to be as independent as possible. All our staff are thoroughly vetted at interview stage and have an Enhanced DBS check with all references gained prior to commencing work.
A care manager is on call 24 hours a day. For the peace of mind if something should happen there is always someone to call.
